Evaluation-2

Both Our costume and the costume from this other Rom-com are quite simular. As both the males have shirts to show there mascular side, and also represent doing a job, as its easy to wear and move about. Both the females are wearing dark tops, and plain too, this doesnt make them standout or anything to represent just normal everyday characters, sugguesting that it could happen to any one! Thhis sugguests that the characters in Rom-Coms are sterotpyes, just normal everyday people.

Evaluation- 4

I think my perfect audience would be females from ages 15 upwards, as rom coms are normaly really girly and are girls number one choice. I recon the females that would attend this would just be normal, not chavs however not snobbs either. However their might be a couple of men dragged in there by their girlfriend! When making the movie opening, we choose characters who fit this class, who were just average but young and cool looking, so the audience can relate to them, we did this by giving them fashionable but plain clothes, and giving them a normal look.

I went on http://www.findyourtribe.co.uk/ to find my audience type.
Your job might be a bit boring but it brings home the bacon and helps you save up for those two weeks away to Spain. Your weekends are set in stone – trip to the shops in town, buy yourself something nice, head to the All Bar One with friends, have a laff, maybe go for a club, as long as there’s none of the indie weirdo music.

i also got one of my friends who love rom com to fill in the same quiz to find what group she fits into.
You are a Rah! There’s nothing like a good gaffaw on the young society scene for one’s weekend. Head up to Henley in the 4 x 4 with a bunch of mates from Bristol. It’s all about having fun right now, but you’ll ask Daddy to put the feelers out for that job in the city on Monday. There’s plenty of time when one is young, no?

After looking on Find Your Tribe we worked out that the audience our quite sociable people and up for fun, so we wanted are actors to show these qualities, we also made sure the characters in the movie are interesting, up for fun and not boring.

27- Props and costumes

Our props for our opening title are quite simple we are just going to be using cardboard boxes like the boxes people use when they are moving in or out of a house. We will have items in the boxes that we will bring out throughout it like cushions and lamps etc. There will also be furniture in the background of the room. Covered up with a plastic sheet to show that the furniture is new and not been used.

Casting- 26

We have chosen to use Robert Luke and Ella Willies for our film opening

We thought this would be a good idea because they are in a relationship in real life so they have intimacy and a connection with each other. Both of them also have funny senses of humour they both like to have a laugh which is what we need. Rob and Ella both look quite young but yet mature so i think they could pull off being a young couple moving in with each other. I have asked both of them and they are both available to act in the film which is also great they are both doing theatre studies for A-Level so could make they're acting realistic, which will make it easier for the audience to believe and will engage them in the story instead of the audience thinking they are just acting.

Sound- Song 21

Rom-coms tend to use uplifting and catchy songs in the opening titles as it gets people in the mood for the rest of the movie.
I found this sound from freeplaymusic.com, my group and i decided this was a perfect choice as its very happy and cherpy, but also romantic. It starts of with a piona playing softly and then more instriments start to join in!

Narrative theories-19

I think Tzvetan Todorov fits into our film quite well as we are wanting our film to be like normal life even though it sounds a bit over the top these things happen in real life, but these are the qualities that get the audience attracted.
